The South Fork Fire has consumed about 16k acres in Sioux and Dawes Counties. Currently the fire is just west of Crawford and being pushed by strong winds. Crawford has not had a mandatory evacuation notice yet. Highway 20 is shutdown from Crawford to Harrison
- This week, the National Sheriffs’ Association is meeting in Omaha. One of our NSP Durango patrol units is on display in the expo hall and several of our troopers are taking part in ARIDE training for advanced instruction on recognizing impairment from alcohol or drugs.
