    Record day! The island peak today was ~1730 MW. The previous record in 2019 was ~1720 MW. A big thank you to our skilled & committed teams who have been working behind the scenes ensuring reliable delivery of electricity on this record cold day. 1/2

    We experienced an equipment issue in our Muskrat Falls plant. This caused a sudden imbalance on the system, this is short lived and customers are being restored now.

    We've heard from many customers asking why clocks skipped a few minutes this morning. This was due to our system balancing to match customer demand following a period of high frequency overnight. We want to reassure this wasn't a result of system/equipment related issues.

    We're excited to announce the first of 14 stations in our provincial #EV fast-charging network is installed and ready to go in Holyrood! We look forward to seeing more chargers available in the coming weeks, with all 14 expected to be ready by the end of January. #RoadTripReady

    Congratulations to Andrew Toope, line worker in Port Saunders, who has received the @redcrosscanada Rescuer Award! When he happened upon a car accident this summer, Andrew's courage and incredible actions helped save a life. We are so proud to have him on the Hydro team!
