    Hello everyone! It’s been a long time! I’ve not posted on social media for quite a while, focusing on my final (?) year at university and…finishing my final ‘Wild Child’ book! What an amazing 5 years it’s been; pouring my passion and love for nature into these books, JOYOUS! 1/2

    I’m finding reading through Twitter, really difficult, soul destroying and heartbreaking. If you are too, here is a magnificent moment I shared with a Golden Hare on Rathlin Island, earlier this year. One of the most magical experiences I’ve ever had.

    An ethereal, magical moment with a Rathlin Island Golden Hare. Heart was thumping as it stood, statuesquely rooted before bounding off. My heart is full to bursting!

    I’m an autistic teenager. I’m not polished. I don’t rehearse (sometimes I wish I did!). I’m raw and real and very very imperfect. But look what can happen, to an ordinary boy who had a story to tell, in all its rage and love. I forgot to say here - but THANK YOU TO MY FAMILY 🙌🙌

    Delighted and honoured to be the youngest recipient in the first New Year’s Honours List awarded by King Charles II! A BEM for service to nature and the autistic community! I believe the recognition encourages other young people that their voices are worthy & will be heard! 🙌🌿

    Cekebrating!! If someone had told me 2 years ago that this awkward anxious bullied autistic kid would be publishing his 3rd book at 18 before heading off to the University of Cambridge to study Natural Sciences; I would’ve thought they were insane!! But here we are! Proud! 😆🎉

    I have arrived @QueensCam and it’s so beautiful!! My room has a view of the river: binoculars are poised on my window seat ready to go! Feeling emotional as I say goodbye to my brilliant parents later this evening 😭

    My dad took this photo of me last month & I didn’t want to share it because I’m a boy...& boys are stereotyped so that we won’t ‘care’ or become involved in nature activities at school. Then I thought to hell with it! A Grasshopper sang on my hair! We need to #smashstereotypes

    I made it to 18!! 🎉🎉 Genuinely didn’t know if I would. Infinite gratitude to my family and loved ones. Immensely thankful to have the privilege of loving & living life now; to continue to share my words with the world is also such a blessing 🌿

    Hip hip hooray 19 today!! My teenage years started off hellishly: bullied, isolated & not really wanting to exist. Then I found my voice, transformed it with words. I poured my autistic soul onto the page and I grew into my own strength. So grateful to live, love & be loved 🌿🎉
