    🥳 Happy birthday to us! 🎂Liverpool Lime Street station is 187 years old today. 🎁 It opened its doors on 15 August 1836 with the world’s first passenger railway linking #liverpool and #Manchester 🦺Today nearly 20m passengers use the station every year

    We were shocked to discover someone has vandalised a drainage pump in Cheshire. The wires have been cut, causing severe flooding on the line between Chester and Hooton, stopping @merseyrail services from running today. @BTP are investigating. More: gloo.to/F56c

    ⚠️ Severe flooding across the North West means many services are unable to run. @TPExpressTrains and @northernassist are advising passengers not to travel. Sorry about this. We're doing our best to drain the water. Photos below are of flooding in the Warrington area 👇

    The next train to arrive on platform 10... It’s the final day of our 8 week transformation. We’re completing the final platform works and commissioning our new signalling system ready for reopening tomorrow 👷🏼‍♂️👷🏽‍♀️🛤🚦✅
