UPDATE People have found ways around the Anti-Cheat implemented earlier this year. Since EA didn't patch the exploit, you can be soft-locked again. Unless EA decides to fix their games (unlikely), there is the risk of being soft-locked. THIS APPLIES TO ALL #PVZ SHOOTERS

Plants vs. Zombies 3 received a new "update" today. It added a new plant, Lychee. This plant is basically Endurian from Plants vs. Zombies 2 but deals area of effect damage in a 3x3 radius. That's all it added. PopCap updated older levels to replace Wall-nut with Lychee.
