- Never mistake your Twitter feed for your country
- Boris Johnson did not "get Brexit done". He did what Thersa May thought no British PM would ever do and put a border in the Irish Sea. Lied about it. Then when the lies stopped working proposed breaking the international treaty he had agreed to a mere 2 years before.
- Truss staying silent while people's lives and finances are shredded is the most cowardly behaviour by a UK prime minister I have seen in my lifetime.
- It turns out Brexit means that, while EU countries freeze the wealth of Russian oligarchs, Britain does nothing at all.
- Europe needs to take a deep breath, realise its own strength, and cut off all Russian gas and oil imports
- Talked to a Tory MP last night who was backing Johnson "Do you think he'd be any good as PM" "No" "What on earth will he do about Brexit"? "No one knows" "Why do you want him, then?" "He's the best hope we've got" "By 'we" you don't mean Britain do you?" "No the party, of course"
- If Boris Johnson is going to quote Kipling, he should quote the poem old Rudyard wrote for him
