Because I keep getting these questions, an FYI. 1. Permitless carry went into effect today upon the governor's signature. Yes, you can carry without a permit if you are legally able to own a firearm 2. This covers open or concealed carry 3. The legal age to carry is now 18

With my signature, South Carolina is now the 29th state in the country with constitutional carry. This bill expands the Second Amendment rights of our law-abiding citizens and will keep violent criminals behind bars with increased penalties for illegal gun use and possession.

It's looking more and more like, IF South Carolina even passes anything like Constitutional Carry this year, we'll be the 29th state. Sure would be nice if the @scsenategop would get their act together and concur with the clean House bill. There's still time, even in conference.

Constitutional Carry is flying through the Louisiana Legislature. The Governor will sign it. Barring something strange happening, this is a done deal. Congratulations to Louisiana Stooting Association, the little group that has been getting it done for many years. 👍.
