The Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail is closed between Mosier and Hood River due to a ground fire near an old dumping area, which could release toxic smoke. Please avoid this closed area. You can still enjoy the section between the Wyeth trailhead and Viento State Park

Ecola State Park will be closed this evening through late afternoon on Aug. 15 for asphalt patch installation on the Indian Beach road section. Full closure is necessary for safety due to equipment moving along the narrow road. The park will reopen when repairs are complete.

We appreciate visitors following campfire bans at state parks around the state. This reduces wildfire risk and helps Oregon's first responders. All state parks east of the Cascades have fire bans. A complete list of statewide fire bans is here: bit.ly/3oxCn2C

Hi, Oregon. The next 24 to 36 hours are going to be extremely challenging with the weather forecast calling for thunderstorms to move across the state. Red Flag Warnings and Fire Weather Watches are in place for much of the state. (🧵1/3)
