I deeply relate to toddlers. You are crying because you need a snack and a nap and a hug? Fair. I get it.

One of my top requirements for my children’s names was that they be recognizable names that are easy to spell. Unfortunately I overestimated the Biblical literacy (and regular literacy) of the general population and so they still get misspelled but I did try.

It’s very sad that our society is so child centric that selfish entitled parents take their children to fancy formal settings that are clearly inappropriate for them, like the GROCERY STORE, just for their own sick amusement.

2yo requested The Tale of Peter Rabbit tonight at bedtime. Reading aloud is so much more pleasant when the illustrations and language are actually beautiful, not over simplified or babyish.

I’m a car seat fan — my kids max out weight limits rear facing & in 5 pt harnesses. HOWEVER. Carseat design & car design appear to be 2 fields so separate they’ve never even contemplated the existence of the other. If your minivan seats 7 you should be able to fit 5 car seats.

Mandatory car safety seats prevented 140 births for every life they saved. Safetyism sucks the life from our culture, figuratively and literally.

The whole “mental load” narrative is so wild to me. Why SHOULD my husband remember all the same things I do about the kids dentist etc? If he does, do I then have to remember everything about our retirement accounts and health insurance? What about his work projects?

Wife has now had two different girlfriends text her condolences this morning, telling her they're here for her if she needs to vent or anything They have no idea Gay men in the 50s were less closeted than moderately conservative women in blue metros are today

They bought an expensive 2k coop instead of building one with sweat and swears out of pvc pipe and a tarp, they paid $800 for processing instead of doing it themselves and developing a weeks long aversion to chicken, and they spent $400 on crates to take them to the processor. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I would rather live in a tent in the woods with my baby than put her in daycare.
