Negotiators have talked to numerous people experiencing mental health crises & others who are having the worst day of their lives. They work in tandem with OPD Co-responders and train together.

- There is a large police presence in the area of 2700 S 19th Street for an officer involved incident. Officers are okay. There will be traffic restrictions in the neighborhood near the scene. Please listen to officers as they direct traffic around the area of the investigation.
- Omaha continues to get safer📉 Overall crime dropped 10% in 2025 and is down another 14% so far in 2026. Homicides and non-fatal shootings are at some of the lowest levels seen in decades. Thank you to our officers, community partners, and residents!
