What we learned today is that every accusation made against Huawei is essentially a confession.

DeepSeek is another example of China rapidly commoditizing new high tech industries and preventing the West from making excess profits or “rent” as it’s called. If this keeps going, the standard of living in the West will fall.

With the exception of China, this is just a list of the major wealthy industrial powers. The Winter Olympics is even worse.

The Arab Spring pretty much vindicates Deng’s response to Tiananmen Square. Lee Kuan Yew said as much that Deng wanted to prevent a hundred years of disorder which is why he had to do it.

For some reason I’m having flashbacks to all the criticism Xi received for cracking down on China’s tech oligarchs. Say what you want about Xi but he would never allow tech oligarchs to degrade the authority of the government like what’s happening right now to Trump.

Mitsuyasu Maeno was a far right ultranationalist porn star who was angry at Yoshio Kodama (a Yakuza boss) for his role in the Lockheed bribery scandal. He rented a plane and launched a kamikaze attack on Yoshio Kodama’s house. Kodama was in a different room and survived.

Amazing how people now agree with what Xi did to Jack Ma. I’m also seeing a lot of people say Xi was way too lenient lol. I’m seeing people also say it was good for Xi to crack down on Ma since he had way too much control over the payment system and that this was dangerous.

You don’t even want China to buy Nvidia chips and now you are mad that China agreed to it?

All of Deng’s policies would have failed without the foundation that Mao left behind. Deng inherited a state that had absolute power over every inch of its territory (something no previous Chinese state had) and also with decent literacy, stability, and relative development.

You're being so delusional dude. It is all china simps and haters these days? Is there no neutral opinion anymore. Everyone knows it was deng who reached China, no one is going to call mao great in the future, ever

One of my favorite quotes from Lee Kuan Yew. Deng has ultimately been vindicated on his actions in Tiananmen. Americans always talk about how they “humanely” nuked Japan but Chinese people aren’t allowed to say that killing 1000 students to save the country is ultimately humane.

One of the best economic news to come out of China this year. Sanity is beginning to prevail.

You don’t live in the real world. I talk to so called “normies” and they talk about dating, their jobs, their families, their kids, and etc. They don’t care about any of this because it’s irrelevant to them. This is why people think Twitter is full of mentally ill people.

(Warning: long rant) My liberal friends are completely oblivious about how radicalizing the last week has been for tens of millions of normal Americans. Zero clue. I’m not talking about people who are “online”; I mean regular, everyday Americans. “Normies.” People who scroll

The bigger question is why are the opinions of Chinese American dissidents more valid than the opinions of Mainlanders (who outnumber dissidents by over a billion) who have lived and prospered under the CPC’s rule?
