- Parents of a14U team called a meeting and wanted their team coach fired. Director asked, "What for?" They said the coach was making kids slide too much and they were getting raspberries during games. My advice is 2 fire those parents.
- A dad asked me how he could get his 16U plyr 2 start being more aggressive. I said he could start by not carrying his kid's bag. #truestory
- THIS IS WHY KIDS ARE SOFT. PARENTING LIKE THIS IS CREATING A DISASTROUS GENERATION OF ENTITLED KIDS. This email was sent to my coach.
- So many athletes make the wrong NCAA choice b/c they cannot let go of the D1 option. There are 1664 NCAA baseball programs in the Nation....and 90% are NOT D1.
- Had a 10u yell at his mom in front of everyone at my IL tryout. She took it. I couldnt, so I booted him and explained why. #LifeLessonshurt
- Put away the what if and replace it with what will. U can make it happen if u are willing 2 sacrifice.
- Parents often blame coaches for their kids' lack of playing time. They should blame their kid for lack of training time.
- "It's okay honey. Even though we miss practice and show up late, I will send an email to everyone destroying coach."
- There is 70% more academic funding available than athletic funding when you are choosing your NCAA fit. Academics matters big time!
- The Division 1 baseball path is a 1 in 50 HS baseball plyrs make it. Out of that 1 in 50, only 26% ever see it past Fall Ball. Find the NCAA choice that fits your future properly. Doesnt have to have a, "1" in front of it.
- Command is feel. Winning is mental. Velocity is strength. Competitiveness is heart. Development is work. Get them and U got success.
