    1) My threads are written with options specialists in mind. However, I also appreciate and am humbled by the large number of followers that are interested in the commentary as a process to learn about and interpret option market activity. This thread will hopefully help a little.

    Turned off notifications on some of my favorite accounts, the ones that mention $HYPE every mf tweet. The quietness and calm on my TL since has been analogous to deep meditation. Regarding my early exit, I can now cope eternally via my precious undisturbed breathing techniques.

    Expect New Year parties to briefly thin out around midnight if inviting anyone from a large Crypto Fund. Unwilling pre-EOY deleveraging, +opportunity for aggressive (🍾 enhanced) window dressing +NY re-allocation +Capital inflow may cause fireworks on the hour across time zones.

    On yesterday's BTC flush, seemingly started by an OKEX cascade, the BTC Perp on Deribit hit 88888 - simulation?! This overextension, relative to other exchanges, could have been catalyzed by dealer short gamma - ie when MMs are short gamma they have to sell delta as the market

    15minute blitz of near-dated BTC Call buying - Aug 6th+Aug13th 42-46k Calls. Very similar tell to Friday's Call buyer - clips of 50-200 in quick succession, bought at the bottom of an Implied Vol retrace. Same reaction as IV pumps 10% off lows. Bullish bias. Follows spot buyer.

    FTX FUD and entire core market (ex FTT) strong. Caroline statement and entire market unch (ex FTT) BTC+ETH Option Vol+Skew static the whole period. If FTX FUD had any truth to it, the entire market would be fkd completely. The Market is what you listen to, not some CT Fudders.
