    Do they allow "posterior STEMI" to exist at your center? Check out this LCX Occlusion MI that was called "NSTEMI" and cathed next day. Wonder why NSTEMI Occlusion has 2x mortality of NSTEMI Non-occlusion??? STD maximal in V1-4 = posterior OMI til proven otherwise @smithECGBlog

    20s female with “dizziness” written on the chart - I saw this triage EKG and placed 3 orders immediately (in addition to diagnostic labs), before seeing the patient and before any labs were back. See response and see if you agree.

    Here's a "normal" EKG that interrupted the busiest shift I've ever experienced, and interrupting my workflow to immediately pull this man out of the waiting room was the best decision I made that night. ECG interpretation ability is the only reason we succeeded. Total LCX OMI.

    Would you like to learn to see the LAD Occlusion MI now based on hyperacute T-waves, or wait the 6 hours this patient waited until his NSTEMI finally turned into a STEMI? The current paradigm doesn't really care because it's #Not_A_STEMI hqmeded-ecg.blogspot.com/2018/07/test-y…

    Absolutely to the lab with this. Only cath can sort out the 1 focal myocarditis from the 99 OMIs that have this ekg. How harmful is a groin stick with no PCI for a 35 year old? Vs untreated OMI?? Obvious choice here.

    Would you have seen the OMI on this triage EKG? If you use the current guideline recommended criteria, then the answer is no! We pulled him out of the waiting room based on this EKG. 100% occlusion of a large first obtuse marginal artery. #NOT_A_STEMI hqmeded-ecg.blogspot.com/2018/02/is-thi…
