Trans people are people: We are doctors, nurses and teachers. We are lawyers, airline pilots and scientists. We are designers, artists and poets. Invariably, you dont know we are trans - yet some want to persecute us for living as our true selves?

In 1952, my mum gave birth to me. Yesterday, at the age of 100, she passed away. As a baby, she fed me, washed me, and looked after me when I was sick. As a young child, I sat on her bike as she took me to school. She taught me the difference between right and wrong. She was

If your statement is true, @jk_rowling, why are puberty blockers still being prescribed for kids with precocious puberty, those with endometriosis, and some people living with cancer? Why are you not advocating for their complete ban?

The problem is @wesstreeting; the Cass Review is being discredited by numerous prestigious healthcare organisations globally. The UK is an outlier. Hope you can take that on board.

Cass Review found there is not enough evidence about the long-term impact of puberty blockers for gender incongruence to know whether they are safe or not, nor which children might benefit from them. The evidence should have been established before they were ever prescribed. 2/9

I attended a 'Stand Up To Racism' event this morning in my home city of Portsmouth. We were outnumbered ten to one. We tried to hold a minute's silence for the three little girls murdered. They shouted us down.

True story that I heard this morning. A well established women's group were discussing safe spaces and the potential of them being destroyed because of "gender ideology". Then one long standing member, who they highly respected declared she was actually trans. Discussion over.

I saw a woman wearing an "Adult Human Female' T-shirt today. Now, I am always willing to discuss trans and women's rights, so I went up to her, told her I was a trans woman and asked if we could talk. She REFUSED, even though she was with 2 mates. So much for 'no debate'.

I am pleased to confirm I have been awarded a Gender Recognition Certificate. I am now legally female. It's been a 10 year struggle and the application process is abhorrent, so I will continue to campaign for GRA reform. I get no "extra rights", just the right to die as me.

As a trans woman let me confirm there is no such thing, repeat NO SUCH THING, as "trans ideology". It's a made up term by the RC Church, Government and media to dehumanise and politcalise trans people. I am not a ideology... I'm a human being! @joannaccherry

I wonder if @jk_rowling has considered the safety of the #trans people she has targeted? She is OK, in her ivory tower with a host of bodyguards. Those in jail may be safe to some extent. But what about Katie, India, Mridul, Munroe and Beth? With power comes responsibility.

Actually, the deputy prime minister of Belgium is a trans woman. Most processors in YOUR mobile phone are designed by a trans woman, and the Stonewall uprising was led by trans women. Most women realise that those achievements are pretty remarkable.
