Really? After three Palestinian-American students were shot in New Hampshire, you're coming back to doxx and defame our students? Shame on you. Shame on you. Shame on you.

President Minouche Shafik threw me under the bus when she testified before Congress, but I'm still an employee of Columbia University, she's not. Turns out that capitulating to the bullies didn't work out well for her. It never does.

I have filed an ethics complaint against @OuttenGolden, the law firm that I hired to represent me when @Columbia launched an unfounded & politicized investigation of me because I condemned violent attacks ag pro-Palestinian student protesters on our campus.

Facts: a Columbia student who sprayed peaceful protesters w/ a noxious gas, putting sev'l of them in the hospital, was paid $400,000 by Columbia, yet peaceful protesters calling for a ceasefire in Gaza now risk having their visas revoked as supporting terror. World upside down.

Columbia/Barnard faculty have signed an open letter supporting our students, making the point that identifying with the suffering of Gazans and historically contextualizing the current war in Israel/Gaza is not anti-Semitic. Please read and share.

"I have come to the view that the Columbia University administration has created such a toxic and hostile environment for legitimate debate around the war in Israel and Palestine that I can no longer teach or conduct research at Columbia."

In my view, @Columbia is a real estate holdings venture that tolerates academic classes as a side hustle. If it actually delivers on the threat to close down the campus & evict students & faculty, then it'll have merely excised the side hustle, revealing its true beating heart.

The lawsuit filed ag @Columbia this week claims that Columbia has maintained an environment hostile to Jewish students. Peaceful student protests are described as "pro-Hamas mobs" & the evidence of my antisemitism includes that I am teaching a course on the history of Palestine.

The President of @Columbia lied in her Congressional testimony on Wednesday. Several times. One of those times relates to comments I have made about the safety of our students at Columbia. Consider this a correction and a demand for an apology. 🧵

My attorney at @OuttenGolden was so appalled by the unethical behavior of the firm, dropping me as a client for political reasons with no notice or explanation, that she quit the firm after being a partner for 24 years.

I've never, I repeat, never seen a university voluntarily admit that it was violating federal anti-discrimination laws. It was one thing (a very bad thing) for @Columbia's president to capitulate to the zealots at the congressional hearing, but admitting a violation of Title VI?

Law firms bear a duty of loyalty to their clients when they agree to represent them, yet @OuttenGolden “fired” me as a client bec some of its partners were uncomfortable with my support for @Columbia students who had been attacked for supporting Palestinian rights.

In case you don't know: @Columbia suspended students before a hearing or evidence of misconduct. The suspensions meant they had 24 hours to leave university housing, lost access to dining halls/food & to health care - never mind that they couldn't finish their classes.

Imagine being @Columbia and suspending your students because you think you can cow them into submission; and they release the following powerful statement: "My commitment to Palestinian liberation has only grown stronger."

@OuttenGolden's own website boasts a commitment to "advance the goals of employees and protect their rights against injustices in the workplace," but they seem to have a Palestine exception to this commitment.
