In short: Richard Allan charged with 2 counts murder. No bond. Pleaded not guilty. Trial in March (unlikely to hold). Probable cause affidavit has been sealed due to ongoing invest. Prosecutor acknowledged how rare that is. Public hearing to come on whether it remains sealed.
It is a shame that this doesn't end with them taking Kohberger out back and shooting him. As it is, I hope he lives a long life and suffers every moment of it.

You can have a complicated, long trial that will draw media attention, along with conspiracists, and hopefully get a good jury who understands reasonable doubt and convicts.
Guilty verdicts are a strange thing. When you're a prosecutor in your first trial and the jury comes back, you think you're going to be excited, exhilarated. But then you hear the word "guilty," and a bunch of different emotions hit you. Relief, yes. Pride at a job well done. But
