- Casey Anthony was guilty then, and she's guilty now. Don't let her lie to you and manipulate you like she's done to every other person in her life.
- At least it's over. Say a prayer for John's family.
- Scott Peterson is an unrepentant murderer and every dime that is wasted on his defense is one that could have been spent on someone who didn't murder his very pregnant wife.
- Alessi once again demonstrates his super power. Judge asks him a tough question, he starts talking, and she's like, Nevermind, you win.
- In short: Richard Allan charged with 2 counts murder. No bond. Pleaded not guilty. Trial in March (unlikely to hold). Probable cause affidavit has been sealed due to ongoing invest. Prosecutor acknowledged how rare that is. Public hearing to come on whether it remains sealed.
- It is certainly weird that we went two trials and only now are x-rays popping up.
- Great news! Alice had her baby girl this morning. Momma and little Brettney are doing great.
- It is a shame that this doesn't end with them taking Kohberger out back and shooting him. As it is, I hope he lives a long life and suffers every moment of it.
- We can't know if Karen Read will be convicted. We can't know the makeup of the jury, and juries can surprise you even without the circus of this case. But I'm so thankful for the first mistrial. Without it, we never would have had Hank Brennan's brutal take down of Karen Read's
- For people asking why the state would offer a deal in Kohberger, here's my answer from another thread. You can have a complicated, long trial that will draw media attention, along with conspiracists, and hopefully get a good jury who understands reasonable doubt and convicts.
- Guilty verdicts are a strange thing. When you're a prosecutor in your first trial and the jury comes back, you think you're going to be excited, exhilarated. But then you hear the word "guilty," and a bunch of different emotions hit you. Relief, yes. Pride at a job well done. But
- I hope people are prepared to have some grace for Carlee Russell as the details of this incident come out.
