- It was a pleasure to join the Royal Society of Biology STEM Parliamentary Links Day to meet staff from local universities including my amazing constituent Amie who discussed how degree apprenticeships like those at MMU are widening access for young people into scienceAnd Prof Chris Parkes and the team from the Institute of Physics who spoke about some of the brilliant research happening at Salford University & Manchester University and the devastating impact of research funding shortages. STEM is vital to our society and economy.

Many current MPs pledged to support 1950s born women on state pension justice, but the Govt are sadly refusing to do the right thing. They urgently need to put this right.

- It was a pleasure to welcome Early Education Minister @oliviabaileymp to Kidzrus Nursery in Salford. The team do amazing work supporting children and families, including those with SEND, and it was great to hear more about the Government’s announcement to help attract and (1/2)retain qualified early years staff in disadvantaged communities.
