- This figure of a maiden, or kore, is one of the most intricate and highly decorated statues from ancient Greece. In many places the sculpture bears remnants of original paint! On loan from the Acropolis Museum, Kore 670 will be on display on the main floor at ROM until Sept. 25.

- NEW SPECIES ALERT! Introducing Cambroraster straight form the Cambrian period. This half-a-billion-year old predator had rake-like claws and a pineapple-slice-shaped mouth. It is one of the earliest relatives of insects, crabs, spiders, and their kin.
