Today is a sad day for Bruins fans, as we celebrate the end of an incredible career of one of the all-time great Bruins. From day one until today, Patrice approached his job with unwavering dedication and passion, setting an example for all.
Our hearts are heavy today as we say goodbye to a great friend, mentor and leader. Pierre Lacroix gave me the opportunity to live my ultimate dream of winning a Stanley Cup. I will be forever grateful for his confidence in me, his friendship, guidance and influence.
We are so proud of our son Christopher on being name to the USA hockey team... there’s nothing better than representing your country. We will be there by your side for this unforgettable experience. #TeamUSA#2018WinterOlympics
My family and I are truly saddened by the loss of an incredible man, Tim Wakefield. He was not only a legendary athlete but also a remarkable human being who made an impact on the City of Boston. Tim's kindness and sportsmanship on and off the field will forever be remembered.
Torey Krug has collected 3 assists in a playoff game for the second time (also Game 2 of 2018 R1). He is the fifth defensemen in @NHLBruins franchise history with multiple such outings:
@RayBourque77 (5x)
Bobby Orr (5x)
Brad Park (3x)
Carol Vadnais (2x)

Defense to offense.
@CMcAvoy44 now has assists in each of his last eight games, a career-high. Only one #NHLBruins defenseman in the last 35 years has recorded a point streak of eight or more games: @RayBourque77 (six times).

.@ToreyKrug's assist on @pastrnak96's second of the night is his 284th career point. That is the most by an American-born player in #NHLBruins history.
Wishing this legend a happy birthday. It's an honor to share my birthday with someone who made, and continues to make, such an impact. We're celebrating you today, Pete.
