Scott Bradburn is from Swannanoa, North Carolina, just one of many communities that were flooded out by Hurricane Helene. “It was all the way up to the ceiling of my second floor. That’s a lot, it was about 25 feet of water.”

Naomi Ritter lives in Asheville, NC. She explains her home was not heavily impacted by Hurricane Helene, so she wants to help others. “I’m a therapist, it’s what we do—be there for people and serve people,” Naomi said. “I am safe, and I have the time, so I became a volunteer.”

It's #FirePreventionWeek! Did you know, most of us are underprepared as home fires continue during #COVID19? 🚨 65% of us don’t test our smoke alarms regularly 🗺️70% of us don’t practice our escape plan ⏱️ More than half of us think we have more than 2 min to escape
