- If Shona Robison didn’t mean what she said, or was taken ‘out of context’, why doesn’t she clarify and tell us what she really meant? Not a lot to ask I’d have thought 🤷♀️. Problem is she can’t, because there is no context that will make her statement look sensible.
- My goodness, it’s 50 years this month since Jimmy’s ‘No bevying’ message to the Clyde shipbuilders taking over the yards. Can’t find the video clip, but here’s a terrific photo of the time.
- Dad died 12 yrs ago today. Sometimes it feels like yesterday, other times a lifetime ago. He taught me chess - badly - my excuse for never winning against him! Miss his noisiness, his humour, his banter, his laugh, and his love. ❤️

Bloke will lead. Nothing changes, does it?So I took a wee look at the stushie around a man being appointed as Period Dignity Lead Officer in Tayside. Firstly, it's not a Scotgov appointment. It's a position jointly funded by Dundee and Angus College, Perth College, Angus Council and Dundee City Council.
- My closest friend died today. My confessor, my rock, my ‘big sister’. She was an extraordinary woman and thinker. I’m bereft without her 💔
- Today, on #IWD, our amazing daughter, after a very difficult time in hospital, gave birth to our wonderful grandson. What joy for our families. Let me introduce our wee darling, James Taylor Reid. We are elated. 💝
