- Wear a mask if you want, or don’t - that is an individual decision for parents to make that should not be forced on our kids. I will be supporting a Special Session to ban Tennessee schools from mask mandates.Tennessee’s test scores are way down, and our future is at stake! We need students back in the classroom in person with no mandates. That’s our expectation for the new school year. Watch below.⬇️⬇️

- I look forward to continuing the discussion of mandates during special session. Folks this is not about the vaccine, this is about the federal government overstepping into personal freedoms. The Tennessee General Assembly is not going to allow that precedent to stand in our state

I am signing an EO today that allows parents to opt their children out of a school mask mandate if either a school board or health board enacts one over a district.
