Gun violence has no place in our schools, homes, and communities. June is #GunViolenceAwarenessMonth, and I stood with colleagues to recognize the heartbreaking toll gun violence takes and to recommit to doing all we can to prevent gun violence.
Budget cuts, gun violence, immigration enforcement, and mental health are real issues facing kids in schools, yet this committee wants to spend its time threatening schools, teachers, and children. Enough is enough.
