My personal opinion: Hovde is a really great candidate. I hope it doesn't hurt him to say it, but this guy is a post-war American, patriotic conservative. And I'm thinking he's gonna win. And we will all be better for that. @EricHovde

It's not that Conservatism, Inc. or whatever other buzzword you want to use "didn't conserve anything." It's that what it conserved - limited government, the rule of law, individual liberty and free market - are not things that the post liberal right wants to conserve.

I live in Mequon in a house that you can't see from the street and with a rear lot that kind of looks like this (except we have a nice lighted path through the woods and you can see the house from a lightly traveled side street.) We even have the same dying ash trees. I don't

This is just dishonest. It's not gay or lesbian kids. The bill is aimed at the problems presented by biological boys who feel - or claim to feel - that they should be girls and want to play on girls teams. This can defeat the purpose for which girls teams were established. The

BREAKING: I just vetoed Republicans’ anti-LGBTQ bill to ban trans and gender nonconforming kids from participating in school sports teams that align with their gender identity. LGBTQ kids deserve our love and respect and support just like any other kid.

The attack on the pharmaceutical industry is suicidal lunacy. It reflects a longstanding tendency on the left - now being adopted by the MAGA right - to assume that the good things in life are a given and that and can't be destroyed by destructive policies.

The pharma miracle machine is almost entirely powered by the US. Instead of appreciating it, left and right are attacking on all fronts--price controls on the market side, cuts to the research funding side. Because no one can see past their immediate political priorities.

A law student doesn't want to be taught by two successful lawyers because she might hear opinions she doesn't like. For her, that would be unsafe. She'll need to change that if she wants to be a lawyer.

His garbled point seems to be that, while Americans will pay twice as much for drugs, people in other countries will as well. Since there are more of them, "we" will be getting them for "free." The reality is "you" are going to pay through the nose but the government may get more

I'll say this about Herb Kohl, while he made a lot of money on selling the Bucks, he left a lot on the table to structure a deal that made it almost impossible for them to leave. So next time you cheer Giannis, pour out a little for Herb. RIP.
