i'm very sad to say that David Pritchard, my friend and the TV director I have worked with for over 30 years, died this morning. He was a remarkable person, someone who lifted the lives of everyone who knew him. We will all feel a great emptiness now he has gone.

Very sad to hear about Gary Rhodes. Nostalgic memories for me of the early days of the BBC Good Food Show with his spiky hair, big check trousers but enormous skill, he was the absolute star. He loved British food and influenced many a chef including me. What a loss

Just like to thank everyone for sending such nice messages about my @BBCTwo series #SecretFrance# Good viewing, I hope, in self isolation , like me. Also very touched how many people are cooking recipes from my books. Look after yourselves. Best Rick

I’m very pleased to say following the success of Rick Stein’s Cornwall last January, for 15 episodes, we’ve done another 15 episodes for this January. The same sort of great mix of food, characters, literature, art – all starting in January on @BBCTwo. @Shine_TV

Just back from Glasgow filming for new series about British food. ⁦@universitycafe_⁩ is a bit special I was there for the Italian ice cream but I noticed that the late and great Anthony Bourdain had been there for Haddock and Chips it’s on the menu

Very sorry to learn of Antonio Carluccio’s death I was very fond of him, loved his Italian enthusiasm for food and his avuncular style of cooking on TV ; so relaxed, so friendly Will miss him

Thanks to everyone who sent warm messages about my CBE. A remarkable day so proud to have received it at Buckingham Palace on such a perfect morning & after a magical lunch of Turbot and Hollandaise Sauce @SteinBarnes with the Thames flowing past. Love to @sasstein for organising

I can’t believe the aggressive tweets I’ve had. All down to a misleading @DailyMailUK report who should be ashamed of themselves I’m just trying to keep my business & my staff. Thanks to ⁦@Caterertweets for getting the facts right.

I just like to say thank you to everyone that has sent such lovely messages about #ricksteinscornwall . We made the programs to cheer people up in January but had no idea then, how much people would need cheering up now . Constantine Bay on ⁦@sasstein⁩ and my daily walks
