Two years ago yesterday, I was told I had 1-2 years to live and to get my affairs in order. That day something happened to me - I became more determined than ever! There is no way this horrible disease is going to beat me. 2 years on I'm more focused than ever.

I've run out of superlatives to describe Kevin. Superhero, superhuman and friend. I'm just so proud of him for being with me from the start and by my side every step of the way. Thanks to everyone who supported him and donated. I had the best day, I hope you did too

So sad to hear the news of the passing of my mnd hero Doddie Weir. I'm sorry to say, how many more warriors die before this stupid government give the 50m they said they would give. I'm absolutely gutted to see my friendly giraffe die. You are the reason for being so positive RIP

It’s really hard to find the words to describe today & what it meant to me & my family. No day in my sporting life could ever come close to the feeling I had today. Privileged, honoured & completely blown away to name a few. RL is the greatest sport on earth & tonight showed why

It’s a year ago today that I received my diagnosis. Can I just thank everyone for their generosity and kindness. From the people out fundraising, everyone who has donated to the man in the street wishing me well. There are lovely people everywhere & it makes me beam with pride x

Today has been a big day for me and my family but I would like you all to know I have read every message and post. I can’t explain how overwhelmed I am at the reaction I have had from people throughout our amazing sport. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart!

Thank you for all your lovely comments on the documentary tonight. Thank you @BBCBreakfast for everything. I only hope we don’t lose sight of one thing, there are people out there suffering from MND with no help. I love you all. #MND #hope

Today The Duke of Cambridge held an Investiture and there were some sporting greats amongst the recipients. Former rugby league footballer Kevin Sinfield received an OBE in recognition of his incredible fundraising for @mndassoc in honour of his friend and team mate Rob Burrow.
