I have yet to see a *single* headline noting how many out of 6.8 million Johnson and Johnson recipients — of which I am one — developed blood clots.
(6. The answer is 6. Total. Over months of distribution.)
I am begging editors to be responsible here.
CONTEXT from a former WH comms staffer:
There are at least 3 separate checkpoints a reporter would have to clear prior to the Oval. So either @PressSec’s due diligence is a complete joke or TASS was approved and this is a sloppy backtrack.
UPDATE from a @WhiteHouse official:
“TASS was not on the approved list of media for today’s pool. As soon as it came to the attention of press office staff that he was in the Oval, he was escorted out by the @PressSec. He is not on the approved list for the press conference.”
If you think that’s a body count warranting massive national action and disruption of day-to-day procedures, wait until I tell you about COVID-19.
Or police brutality.
Or gun violence.
Or Black maternal mortality.
Or the War on Drugs.
Or income inequality.
By the way, THIS is why there’s value in going on Fox News.
You can either call Republicans out on their own turf or make yourself feel good in your own echo chambers. Only one gets anything done.
If you're used to voting Republican, years from now your grandkids will ask what you did in this moment and you will have to tell them if you were a 'John McCain Republican' or 'Donald Trump Republican.'
You can't be both. The choice is yours.
