I was born in 1966. In Rhodesia. In 1980, Mugabe came to power. Since then, I have lived under the rule of ZanuPF and the ANC. I watched the utter devastation of Zimbabwe until it was no longer liveable for me. Now I get to watch the same type of fools ruin South Africa. Sad.

I drove a road in East Congo. It was 1000s of km long. When I was there, it was a muddy track needing huge 4x4 trucks to navigate it. But once it was a pristine tarred road. The villagers dug it up and burned the tar for fuel. Africa reverts to nature quickly. RSA must be careful

The new parliament building in Zimbabwe. Built by the Chinese. The Chinese also built the African Union headquarters in Addis Ababa in Ethiopia. I took them 10 years to find out that the entire building was bugged and that the Chinese were listening to everything for a decade.

Botswana reserves many business sectors for citizens only. You can't just arrive in Botswana and open a spaza shop or a butchery. Botswana is stable and safe and doesn't have a huge illegal foreigner problem. It borders us for 1000s kms. What's wrong with us here in RSA?

Anyone ever been to Kathu in the Northern Cape of South Africa? I hadn't until last week. 2400km journey there n back. Kumba Iron Ore mine is there. I've not seen the scale of industry for decades that I saw there. A big rich town in the middle of nowhere. The roads are endless

It is estimated that South African farmers will export a whopping R 270 000 000 000 worth of farm produce in 2025 bringing much needed foreign currency reserves into our economy. Let's give our hard-working farmers a round of applause and wish them a Merry Christmas. Bravo

As someone who witnessed the absolute destruction of a once thriving country (Rhodesia-Zimbabwe), I can tell you categorically that the final death blow was taking the land from farmers. After that happened, the country and all hope of recovery took its last breath. Don't do it.
