    Excited to see our @NatureMedicine paper out today led by @ChanwooKim_ with my co-senior author @suinleelab and an amazing team! We used a dermatology foundation model to enable explainable and transparent AI - from auditing datasets to models. nature.com/articles/s4159…

    I hate having to share this, but I know I’m not alone. I had a miscarriage post-Roe while visiting family in Texas in 2022. I almost died — after 7-8 hours of begging, I got an emergency D&C and transfusion. They don’t mind letting women die.

    This is for my parents who escaped Iran, faced so many challenges and uncertainty just so I would be here. Today, in front of them, I signed my offer for a tenure track faculty position @Stanford in Biomedical Data Science @StanfordDBDS and Dermatology.

    Your regular reminder that extremely expensive moisturizers are completely unnecessary. CeraVe or Cetaphil will do the job just fine. Designer moisturizers (example: Chanel) often have a lot of fragrance and can cause allergic reactions.

    You might think this is exaggerated, but I assure you, it is not. I almost died having a miscarriage in Texas when I was visiting home. After that, I refused to travel to certain places while pregnant.

    I have decided to not attend the @AmerUrological annual meeting in San Antonio, TX this year. My husband & I are trying for our 2nd child. At 39 yrs old I have a high risk of miscarriage & I don't want to go somewhere my healthcare options are limited should I have an emergency

    Ok #medtwitter, now that we’re in an uproar about professionalism, bring that same energy to address that BIPOC med students/residents have been shouting for years that “professionalism” has been used to police their hair, clothes, and their ability to speak up about racism.

    I have a similar story but I could not hear anything at all, not even a heart beat. The other interns said they could. I was embarrassed to admit that I could hear nothing. The attending smirked and said that was right because it was situs inversus.

    .@netflix has a show called Awake where people stay awake for 24 hours and then answer questions to win a million dollars. Medicine has the same show, except instead of a million dollars, you’re trying to keep your patients alive. #medtwitter
