It’s been the honor of a lifetime to represent Missouri in Congress.
What we do here is more important than who we are. I’m proud of all we’ve accomplished together and incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve.
Thank you.

...I was the Republican Whip. We seldom voted the same way, unless the vote was 400 to not very many but we talked every day. And on those days when something really hard had to be done we over and over again figured out how to make it possible for enough Republicans and...

“The Congress will miss Steny Hoyer. He cared about the Congress and he cared about the members and their families. For 25 years I’ve counted him one of my closest friends. During the first decade of that friendship Steny was the Democratic Whip and...
Proud to introduce @ArielleRoth at her @SenateCommerce nomination hearing today to be the next Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Communications and Information. Arielle is incredibly capable and will be a great leader for this important agency. Congrats to her and her family!
The agency, the community, and the administration will benefit from having @GaryAndres serve as the Assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services. (3/3)
I have also worked with Gary during his time as staff director at the Ways and Means, Energy and Commerce, and House Budget Committees. Gary brings the right temperament and experience to this position to continue finding solutions without compromising positive outcomes. (2/3)
Congratulations to @GaryAndres on his nomination to be Assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services. I have worked closely with multiple HHS Secretaries and their staff and know the opportunity they have for meaningful impact on research that can save lives. (1/3)
Congratulations to @ArielleRoth on her nomination to lead NTIA. Arielle did a great job as telecom leader on my Senate team & went on to learn even more working for @SenTedCruz on the Commerce Cmte. She's incredibly capable & will be a great leader for this important agency.
Jean Carnahan worked hard for Missouri. She was a full partner with her husband, Mel. She was a dedicated advocate in her own right as First Lady, and as a United States Senator.
Blaine Luetkemeyer is a great friend and has been a great and effective member of the Congress representing Missouri. Blaine was one of the people I always turned to when something needed to get done for our state. @RepBlaine
Any time I saw him in the last 25 years he would always ask what he could do for me. And then he always did it.
He was a great friend and I will miss him.
