Today, the #TREPA Project Steering Committee visited intervention sites in @NyagatareDistr to witness the project's progress. The team toured a breeding seed orchard of 980 Maesopsis eminii (Umuhumuro) trees from six provenances nationwide. #GreenRwanda

The orchard will serve as a mother seed stand, producing high quality tree seeds for establishment of tree seed stands countrywide. This will ensure availability of required tree reproductive materials for afforestation and reforestation efforts. #GreenRwanda

Today, RFA Staff visited Nyamata Genocide Memorial to pay tribute to the victims of the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi. The team laid a wreath in honor of victims laid to rest at the site & toured the memorial to learn how Genocide was planned & carried out by genocidal regime.
