- There’s no way Jason Alexander can be taken out of the rotation.. he has to stay in the rotation until/if he pitches his way out of it In 8 games (7 starts) for the Astros he has a 2.72 ERA (1.16 WHIP) He’s allowed just 4 runs in his last 17.1 innings (spanning 3 starts)
- Bryan King had a 6.35 ERA & 6.94 ERA his Sophomore & Junior seasons at McNeese He’d already taken a regular job after college, not expecting to be drafted. Quit that job & signed for $1000 with Cubs as a 30th rounder Now has a 2.80 career ERA out of the pen the past 2 years
- Ramon Urias has hit .308 (12 for 39) with an .803 OPS (120 OPS+) since being acquired
- The 1 downside to not having Brooks is rockets offense is going to miss that turnaround mid range Bailed out a lot of broken offensive possessions
- Before Bennett Sousa was acquired by the Astros he had a 4.76 ERA in AAA & had given up 23 runs in 23 career big league innings Talk about player development
- Yuli Gurriel has been hot lately in AAA, boosting his season stats to- .297/.377/.489 (.866 OPS) He can be acquired by a big league team through a trade even after the trade deadline since he’s been in the minors all year. Maybe someone gives a call

- I’ve really grown to like Taylor Trammell a lot Sees pitches & gets on base, has some pop & plays a good defensive CF. Nice player. Solid pickup by Dana Brown this past offseason He’s hitting .238/.340/.413 (.753 OPS) (.270 BA & .791 OPS over his last 15)
