- Join the San Antonio community for the SAFD “wrap party” where volunteers come together at the SAFD Training Academy to wrap all the donated toys. The SAFD asks all volunteers to bring their own wrapping paper and tape. All ages are welcome.
- Our first Toy collection is Saturday the 25th. 10am-3pm Please visit the HEB locations listed (we cannot accept toys at fire stations). We are accepting new, unwrapped toys, please no stuffed animals, Thank you for your generosity!!
- Thanks @generationsfcu ! This is the 11th year of their turkey express, delivering meals to first responders that work on Thanksgiving.

- Happy Halloween! Superheroes dressed as Superheroes (SAFD & SAPD SWAT @BaptistHealthSA Children's Hospital).
- Your SAFD and Local 624 will hit the streets with boots in hand collecting for @MDAorg on Wednesday, November 1st through Friday, November 3rd. Since 1954, fire fighters across the country have filled the boot to help people with neuromuscular diseases. #FillTheBoot
- Your SAFD at a structure fire today on Sunrise Creek, no occupants inside but we did find this brave one!
- Today there was closure to the legal case in the arson death of Firefighter Scott Deem. In an agreement, a sentence of 30 years was issued for arson and murder. While this is the closure of the legal proceedings in this incident, some wounds will never heal.
- One year ago, personnel with the San Antonio Fire Department and Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office were at site of the deadliest human-smuggling case in the country.
