Russia’s attacks on Kyiv’s Pershka Lavra are deplorable. Attacks like this are why I have announced sanctions to target the vessels, the money and the actors propping up Russia’s war economy, and in turn, threatening European security. We will increase the pressure on Putin

Russia has launched a massive aerial attack across Ukraine, hitting the Unesco site Pechersk Lavra in Kyiv & killing first-responders in a double-tap strike in Kharkiv. These savage attacks must stop - by cutting off its shadow fleet, the UK will stifle Russia's war machine.

We are banning social media access for under 16s. These days kids must find their feet in a world where technology intrudes into every area of their life. I just can’t let that go on anymore. So we’re giving children their childhoods back.

Overnight, @RoyalMarines and @NCA_UK officers boarded a Russian shadow fleet tanker, the first operation of its kind led by the UK. I'm incredibly proud of everyone involved who showed great skill, professionalism, and courage. This is another blow to Putin’s war machine.
