- SJR State Baseball is proud to announce our new asst coaches Matt Kennedy & Chase Malloy. Matt brings a wealth of coaching experience at the NJCAA & NCAA D1 levels. Chase is coming back home to SJR to begin his coaching career after playing for JU the last 2 yrs.
- Another Viking assistant is moving up the coaching ladder. Congratulations to Morgan Depew is joining new UCF Head Coach Rich Wallace's staff. So happy for Morgan! Can't say enough about this guy. Incredible work ethic, great coach & even better friend. You'll always be a Viking!
- Been a long time coming but our student housing project is under way. Roofing work on the 3 story project began today. Baseball players at St. Johns River will live on the 3rd floor overlooking Tindall Field. 200 ft from the batting cages / 300 ft from the weight room!
- The new student housing project at SJR State is ahead of schedule and looking great! This is the view now from 2nd base. The baseball team will be on the 3rd floor over looking rightfield.
- The Vikings biggest fan Russell Allebaugh passed away Saturday evening, he was 86. Russell will be remembered for his “Home Run Horn” and his unrivaled love for Viking Baseball.
- Asked my wife what she wanted for our anniversary and she said "let's go somewhere." Asked her where and she said "let's go see Myles and Nate!" She's pretty cool!
- Congratulations to Viking infielder Chase Malloy who committed to Jacksonville University today. The Dolphins are getting the total package.
- Vikings defeat Palm Beach State 2-0 to win the FCSAA D2 STATE CHAMPIONSHIP! Jarrett Maresco threw a complete game 2 hit shutout for the Win.
