Congrats Will Chandler on his truly ridiculous first @WMPhoenixOpen. Here is my interview with him after he finished the final WM Monday Q where he was extremely nervous his -7 wouldn’t hold. Now he has a T5 & about 400k. Really special! Do Monday Qualifers matter? @PGATOUR @PGA

On Wednesday Jackson Parrish needed an eagle on the final hole of the pre-q to get thru. He made an albatross (his caddie told me on the tee he tried to talk him into a 5-iron but failed) Today he hit the opening tee shot at the last WM Monday Q.

10 months ago Will Chandler had never played in a KFT event. Then Monday Q’d his way to status. Then got his pga tour card at Q-school. And now just chipped in on his 9th hole to go to 5-under.

Last week Steve Allan caddied in the pre-q for his son Liam. Liam, a senior in High school shot -3 but missed. Today Liam returns the caddying favor for his dad. 51-year-old Steve estimates he has played in 18 WM Monday Qs. He wasn’t going to miss the last one.
