Our advocacy was ignored, the UN is a farce, and Gaza & Syria prove it. I speak only to Syrians now. - I recently lost someone to suicide. He couldn't bear the pain of life after experiencing exile & torture in Assad's prisons. Our complex grief after living in Assad's Syria is killing us even when we are thousands of miles away from home. Be kind. Don't forget the disappeared.
