September 26th is #MesotheliomaAwarenessDay. Last year on this date, I was blissfully unaware of this terrible disease. This year, I'll use my platform to raise awareness. #MesoAwarenessDay #LightTheWorldBlue

Nope. Not going to send my kid dressed in Ukraine's flag colours today as requested by the school. We can be anti-Imperialist/anti-war & support thise who suffer without being nationalist, esp. while POC are being refused safe exit by Ukrainian officials.

Just paid my first Italian cellphone bill of 13 euros/mo for way more data than I get here in Canada at $120/mo. We deserve better! #rogersoutage

Happy #WorldWildlifeDay. A friendly reminder that livestock cannot replace native biodiversity, despite what you may have heard.

As a brown person who has had scarlet fever (that was misdiagnosed for days by my white doctor), let me tell you the rash is not "bright red" for everyone. Educators and Public Health folks need to use proper information/language so BIPOC can screen properly.

A warning/rant: My 8 yr old sneezed this morning. I decided to test him before seeing 70+ yr old relatives as planned this am. #COVID19 positive Other than this single sneeze there is no other symptom in our household so far.

Parents of young kids in Canada are living in a Black Mirror episode where they are simultaneously tasked w/ protecting their kids from deadly viruses (w/o access to meds or docs) while also being told by govt officials that there's no need to do anything to stop the viruses.

A reporter asked what this means for kids bringing home covid to grandparents who live with them and Dr. Moore ignored that same household part and said sick kids should not visit LTCs. He is just ignoring the existence of multi-generational households and care.

We could have killed our 88-year-old family member. Jesus. This all could have been avoided if masks were mandatory in schools & if kids w/ COVID are not sent back into the classroom after 5 days.

Ford at a presser today: If you're in a crowded room of 15 people, put a mask on, it's common sense. Somehow he doesn't extend that 'common sense' to schools though... #ONPoli

Dr. Moore just came out and said Public Health measures are about hospital capacity, not avoiding death or long-term illness. So great that he's in charge. #ONPoli

Dr. Moore just said we all have to assess OUR PERSONAL RISK before leaving the house. So ableist and after all his work suppressing available data. Cool, Cool #ONPoli

.@celliottability & @fordnation: Your "top doc" decided to ignore federal rules about masking in public places 14 days after international travel. Do you think he should keep his job after this? He clearly is aware of public health regulations so this was deliberate. #ONPoli

I tested him because I was on high alert. There are cases at his school/in his class. I've been fighting all week to try to have these cases managed properly & have been mostly ignored. It honestly feels like no one cares, not even people paid to protect us.
