    On Shopify conference call, the company played an excerpt of a customer service call in which one of its merchants cried while thanking the company for its platform, saying she didn't know how her business would function w/o it. That's something you never hear on quarterly calls

    The Globe 1st reported last month Wealthsimple was flooded w/ interest from US VCs to lead a unicorn-sized round. This morning the company announced it has raised $114-million led by TCV valuing the co at $1.4b. Our story: @globeandmail
