Ending free movement. On the left: your current free zone. You can work, travel, study, love, retire across this area. No visas. Includes non-EU members. On the right: your future free zone (assuming CTA with Ireland). Can *anyone* explain how this is increasing opportunity?

My granny worked as a typist to the German Ambassador to the Soviet Union, Graf von Schulenberg. He was executed in 1944 for plotting against Hitler. Half her family were wiped out. She saw what nationalism did and led to. So no, she wouldn’t want a f**ing cup of tea with him.

For Christ sake Seb, @Nigel_Farage is the bloke your granny would love to have a cup of tea with. Saying he’s the new Oswald Mosley makes you look stupid. Err , ok!

I reckon the UK should join the EU. Just a thought.

The Brexiters blame Remainers. They blame the civil service. They blame the EU27. They blame so-called "elites". They blame everyone but themselves: the very people who cooked up Brexit, sold it as all things to all people, and now cry betrayal when reality intervenes.

Taking my seat in Strasbourg for the last time after five and a half wonderful years. One day British MEPS will get to sit here again and represent our interests and work with our neighbours to solve common problems. Britain is taking a sabbatical 😉

Imagine, for a second, a govt where pandemic infection rate is highest in western world, fuel pumps run dry, food costs soar, PM goes on holiday and there’s an admission the central proposition on which they were elected was a total lie. What wld that look like? How wld you feel?

Funding the NHS from Brexit was literally Vote Leave’s signature promise. Can everyone see now what complete horse 💩 that was?

The people who sold us Brexit. They insult the civil service. They insult our neighbours. They insult those of us who argued against it. They do everything *except* deliver what they promised. Enough is enough. Ordinary people deserve a say @peoplesvote_uk My speech today:

Donald Tusk isn’t interested in whether the PM has signed the letter or not because, unlike the PM, he’s a grown-up.

The extension request has just arrived. I will now start consulting EU leaders on how to react. #Brexit

Brits will be the only citizens of a Western European country unable to travel, work, study and retire freely across their own continent. The biggest retraction in freedoms in living memory.

We’re ending free movement to open Britain up to the world. It will ensure people can come to our country based on what they have to offer, not where they come from.

Tomorrow the UK will be the only major European country outside the single market - its people the only ones without free movement. It will be at a permanent disadvantage compared to its neighbours. It’s unsustainable. The only viable path to a better future is to reverse this.
