There's a rising trend of soundtrack credit fraud. Halo did not compose Halo. Assassin's Creed did not compose Assassin's Creed. Beat Saber did not compose Beat Saber Minecraft did not compose Minecraft. Brands are not musical artists. Primary credit needs to go to humans.

YouTube has actively decided to not pay video game composers. Game music is not considered acceptable for Content ID, meaning composers cannot get paid what they are owed. YouTube needs to do better. #gameaudio #gamemusic creatoracademy.youtube.com/page/lesson/ci…

Perhaps another way to look at it: imagine someone took your entire roblox marketplace catalog and gave it away for free. As a creator of original content you get to monopolize how and where that content is used

There is a FINAL FANTASY VII concert at E3. Unfortunately, it's produced by @WildFaery, who has zero support, ignores its customers, has no online presence, negligently handles orders, does not ship tickets on time, nor communicate in any way with fans.

Yup, and as creator you get to make the decisions to give up control, or not enforce rights. Even if you give models away for free, you still own the copyright (unless you release those into the public domain as well) Free to download != free to redistribute
