    What's happening in DC is beyond a travesty. This coup attempt is abhorrent criminal behavior. I've contacted Governor Hogan's office to request the deployment of troops and support to help secure the US Capitol and keep the people of DC safe.

    He was wrong then, and he's wrong now. Hogan divides, but Marylanders have moved on from that. When we elect Angela Alsobrooks to the U.S. Senate in November, Marylanders can be assured that this and many other important projects will advance in our state.

    Tonight, the Senate of Maryland passed Senate Bill 1. This legislation makes communities safer by limiting where firearms can be conceal-carried in response to the Supreme Court’s Bruen decision. We’re making the decision that in Maryland, more guns are not the answer.

    In City's 2020 election, there were 10,000 more voters who had NEVER voted in a primary than the number of perfect (3 of 3) primary voters. 46,771 (0 of 3) to 36,597 (3 of 3). That is an unbelievable statistic. 17k of 46k never voted in primary OR general election.

    Tonight’s resounding Democratic victory shows we don't need to rig the system to win. When we provide a better vision about the future - lower costs, better services, and real solutions to protect against Trump - voters overwhelmingly choose our leadership.

    Tonight is such a blowout so far that I wonder if it gives some Rs pause about redistricting in states that are still pondering it. They already needed to "stress-test" the districts (and they did in TX-NC-MO, I think, even considering tonight), but still.
