Thrilled to announce the publication of the new memoir from @LannyJDavis called "Finding the Third Way: Lessons in the Politics of Civility from My Journey Through History." Published by @RCPolitics publishing. Son so proud!!
I am curious if at some point Juwan Howard will explain why it was OK for him to put on a full court press against the backups in a 15 point game but not OK for Greg Gard to call time out to help his guys beat it.
Chennedy Carter, given a chance to explain herself postgame, says "next question."
Then later, "I ain't answering no Caitlin Clark questions."
Coach Teresa Weatherspoon stepped in: "That's enough. We're good."
Disappointing press conference. Accountability lacking.
And I don't want to hear people say "this is why we should get rid of handshake lines." If you can't handle a handshake line, you shouldn't be in college athletics.
I am concerned because I am hearing reports of a mass epidemic of a terrible 48-hour virus that has people not showing up for work or school today. Hope everyone is feeling okay!!! Take care of yourself, get your rest, nothing more important than your health.
Not just textbook. Obvious. Clear. Not even a question. And I was among those who initially thought it was a bad call because I only saw the close/upper body reply. This is not even a debate. It. Was. A. Foul.
I’m glad Skip Bayless said what he said. Reveals his ignorance and will provoke a much needed discussion about mental health in sports. People who think admitting you struggle amounts to weakness needs to be dragged out of the dark ages.
1. Gard should not have called time out.
2. Gard should not have put his hands on Howard.
3. Krabbenhoft should not have escalated.
4. Howard throwing a slap/punch was inexcusable and calls for severe repercussions.
All these things can be true.
I cannot think of a more disheartening piece of news. I have covered the Special Olympics. It is amazing. This is not about politics, it is about who and what we value as a nation. This is absolutely disgraceful.
