So I’ve just been blocked by Dr Karl. All I did was point out that California isn’t 100% renewables. It has a nuclear plant called @DiabloCanyonCA which provides ~10% of their power. I find it concerning that raising a simple fact would justify blocking an 18 yr old.

Sure thing @DoctorKarl! 32 countries use nuclear power and 50 are considering using it for the first time. 31 countries have pledged to triple nuclear capacity by 2050. Australia remains the only TOP 20 economy with a ban. We’re totally out of step with the rest of the world.

Why did Senator Watt need to block me? I presented the facts: 🇨🇳 China is building 10 reactors for $27 billion 🇦🇺 Meanwhile, he’s one of many claiming 11 reactors in Australia will cost $600bn AUD He knows that the ‘Smart’ Energy Council $600 billion figure is a lie.

FACTCHECK: Nuclear won't cost $600 billion It's based on extrapolating the cost of the most expensive nuclear power plant ever and doubling it. It assumes nuclear costs 5x more than even what the CSIRO predicts. The nuclear fear campaign must stop.

I don’t look at this and pity myself. A majority of Australians support nuclear power. A loud minority oppose it. Until now their voices have dominated the debate and pushed fear and lies to advance their cause. They’re now retaliating against those like me who speak up.

We’re being told in Australia that nuclear is “risky”, leads to 3 eyed fish and creates lethal green goo as waste. Tonight, I’m heading to the US to find out if any of that is true. I’ll be: 🫨 touring a nuclear power plant on the ring of fire, 🎣 fishing for 3 eyed fish

The interim report on nuclear power just dropped… After a quick search it appears that Simon Holmes à Court’s name appears more than the name of any nuclear expert. At least we now know who’s in charge of the government’s energy policy.
