Southern Fried Rice’s treatment of Black women was a narrative failure. From Dottie's footnote infertility to Tami's sidelining as a statistic, and making dark-skinned Joy the hostile villain. The show has a pattern of exploitative & historically violent tropes. 👎🏾🗑️🔥
