Kudos to these @VolusiaSheriff deputies who just tracked down my Scumbag of the Week. This morning, Shaw M. Stone punched, kicked, and used a mop handle to beat a 5-year-old child who had an accident. Then he fled on a 4-wheeler. He’s headed to jail for aggravated child abuse.

Again. 2 more @volusiaschools students locked up for a “joke” threat. It’s a felony. This was RIGHT AFTER their school played our message about how serious we take these “jokes.” Just unbelievable @VolusiaSheriff

This weekend, the @VolusiaSheriff 911 center got a call from a woman ordering a pizza close to 4 a.m. What the dispatcher quickly figured out was that the caller was really in danger.

As promised. We just arrested a Creekside Middle School student who made threats to commit a school shooting at Creekside or Silver Sands Middle School. He had written a list of names and targets. He says it was all a joke.

We arrested another student for a hoax threat this morning. While playing Fortnite, he told another player he'd get some explosives and blow up Pine Ridge High School. We responded to the Fortify Florida tip around 1:30 a.m.

Tweeted a photo of a child abuser in custody, but of course some only cared about my deputy's tattoo. FYI- that deputy is a veteran & the tattoo is the battlefield cross. Damn right I'm proud of him. Challenge to all our critics: Give to the GoFundMe for the victim & his siblings

Today we @VolusiaSheriff arrested Gavinn Carter (11) for sending a hoax Fortify Florida tip threatening to shoot up Silver Sands Middle School. Gavinn's mom's boyfriend Raymond Christopher-Cord Robertson (27) was also arrested for obstructing @DaytonaBchPD. @VolusiaSchools

Two more students are in custody following a school shooting threat. This time it’s a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old at Taylor High in Pierson. The threat was on Snapchat. Of course it was a “joke.” We will introduce you to these two in the very near future. @VolusiaSheriff
