    Ever been told by a potential employer, "don't call us, we will call you" ? I have, severally. At the School of Professional Studies, where I sought a teaching position, I walked away crestfallen. Several years later, I went back and bought their building. #WednesdayMotivation

    When I was fired by TSC in 1995, I started hawking milk in Thika to support my family. I did my rounds in an old Chevy pickup, such as this one. Friends laughed at me, calling me a 'failed graduate'. But this didn't shake me. Self-belief is the key to success. #MondayMotivation

    As we wish #eliudkipchoge the best in #INEOS159 , let's not forget that another great Kenyan, Ngugi wa Thiong'o could very well win the Nobel prize for Literature this week.

    She came to #MKU with nothing but hope, and the clothes on her back. She didn't have money for a hostel, so she slept in the lecture room and refreshed at the loos, daily. Her food was sweets. Now, JESPHER NYABOKE has a Master of Science in Medical Laboratory. #TuesdayMotivation

    Don't fear loans. A loan is supposed to enable you achieve your dream in advance. If you start saving today inorder to build your dream house, you'll probably finish at age 70. Borrow today, build and enjoy your house as you repay. Borrowing is not folly. #FridayMotivation

    In 1990, President Moi, as Chancellor of Kenyatta University conferred me a Degree in Education. Twenty years later, we (MKU) awarded Moi an Honorary Degree in Education when he graced our 1st Graduation Ceremony. #Education is the glowing sheen on Moi's legacy. #MoiDay

    Ekemo Peter from Turkana scored a B+ in 2014 and was admitted to Laikipia Uni. He couldn’t proceed because his certificates were tied up at Alliance Boys over fees arrears. I assisted him retrieve the certs and now he can proceed with his dreams of pursuing university education.

    Today I visited a factory in Qingyuan city, Guangdong Province, 100Kms from Guangzhou, #China. The factory manufactures auditorium and stadium seats. Our 2,000-capacity auditorium dream at #MKUThikaMainCampus is coming closer to reality. The factory makes 3,000 seats per day.

    Beware of dream killers. They are everywhere. When I wanted to establish an institution of higher learning, I asked a Professor friend to help me write a proposal. He told me that I had no business in the university business, since I was no Professor myself. #TuesdayMotivation
