    Stephen finished a rough and hard 3rd round of chemo.His blood count dropped so low he is currently getting another blood transfusion.He developed an extremely high fever on Thursday (104°) and is now down to a low grade fever. Keep praying for Stephen!!! Bigger than Basketball

    Don’t mean to rehash a Covid HS playing map but the Governor that is running for re-election cost a lot of kids unnecessary stress, mental health issues, and yes, experiences, games, and scholarships you won’t get back. If your 18, affected, now is your chance to vote her out.

    As my last travel basketball weekend as a Michigan coach, I wanted to take a moment to thank all the programs, teams, coaches, players, and parents that have touched me in the past 12 years. You have blessed me with some great memories and moments. I WILL NEVER FORGET. Thank you

    I am blessed to say that I have RETIRED from the beverage industry after a 47 year successful career this weekend. It’s not the work and success stories you remember but your mentors and friends you shared the journey with. THANK YOU…you know who you are.

    I lost my biggest fan and mentor in my dad earlier today. As I have many friends, family and players on Twitter I wanted to take a moment to share his visitation and funeral this week. Thank you for your support. See

    Waiting on call back from Ohio facility right now to play basketball. If I get it, the only charges would be to rent the gyms and pay the refs. A few weeks ago it was $45 per team. I hope to do the same thing. This is for mental health of the kids along with our seniors futures.

    Mom passed on Stephen is doing great the past 2 weeks. He is eating, gaining weight which is awesome! He is enjoying going to school and being with his teacher and all his friends. Praying that the scans this week show the drastic improvement that YOU ALL have helped pray for.

    The Michigan Cagers Basketball Club will be flexible, adjust and WAIT to play hopefully with an adjusted full season of HS basketball through mid-April if needed. Nothing ever will replace the TRUE high school experience with friends, coaches, and parents. WE WANT YOU TO PLAY!!

    Tears in my eyes tonight. Thanks to all of the players girls and boys, parents, coaches, speakers, Michigan Sports Radio, Hoop City and volunteers coming together for one common cause today... The David Barns Foundation and building his legacy. All we can say is THANK YOU👏👏

    Pray for MY GUY….our CAPTAIN. Bigger than basketball. UPDATE-His IV blow again.This one lasted over 3 1/2 days. He doesnt want another IV line placed. I am not even sure we can finish this round because of how bad his veins are.He is at least eating and feeling pretty good.
