A huge thank you goes to the Suffolk Farmers who’ve been assisting us in our snow clearance today; using their expertise and machinery to help our teams keep the network safe and moving. @EADT24 eadt.co.uk/news/suffolk-s…

- Hi all, Gemma here. Communications Officer/ Winter Operative. I will be joining my colleagues this week on the 12 hour shifts. I’m going to provide you with updates when I can on each break. Shout out to the 12 hour shift workers, day in/out (not just winter time). 👏🏻
- Huge thanks to our incredible #Suffolk Farmers! We’ve had some unwavering support from over 25 #farmers across the county to help clear snow on local roads. We couldn’t do it without your commitment and community spirit. Thank you! Photo credit: @ParishWattisham & @BlackieKtm
- 👷🏻♂️ Whilst our gritters are treating the roads, they are restricted to travelling at 40mph. Beeping your horns or driving closer to the gritter will not make them go any faster. Please take care & be mindful that our teams are trying to make the network safer for you all to use.
- ⚠️❄️ conditions across #Suffolk are worsening. We’ve been working throughout the night to treat the priority road network, however we’re up against snowdrifts, stuck vehicles and impassable roads. Please do not travel unless it is essential. #SuffolkWinter #TravelSafe
- Huge respect to our teams working on #Suffolk's roads in this weather! Sadly we've had reports that they’re receiving verbal abuse. Please remember they're working 8 hours with hot materials, in full protective gear & very little access to shade - breaks are essential #UKHeatWave
00:00 - Update - We’re now heading out to treat all priority 1 routes on the network. Ploughs are being installed for selected routes where required, including my route 17 & route 25. Georgie, my plough mate will be assisting me along my route. #Team #Suffolkwinter
- Here it is! We are at Cliff Quay, #Ipswich with the 184 tonne electrical transformer. Transformer length - 6.67m, width - 5.35m and height - 4.67m. Total length (including trailers) 60m! #abnormalload @AllelysGroup
00:00 - We’ve reached our destination point 👏🏻 Massive thank you to all the teams involved today and to all the spectators that watched and followed the load movement. We’re all heading home for a well deserved rest. 👋👋 #AbnormalLoad @_Allelys @McCann_Ltd #Suffolk
